In an interview with [insert lamestream media outfit], the president said: “I think it’s fair to say, if six months ago, before this [insert crisis here] had happened, I had gone up to Congress and I had said we need to crack down a lot harder on [insert whoever to blame here]and we need to spend more money on [insert whatever sounds good here] to respond in case of a [insert crisis here], there are folks up there, who will not be named, who would have said this is classic, big-government overregulation and wasteful spending.”
Typically, it's a big "IF" as if he's trying to suggest that he was going to do it because he knew it was a problem, but just like having a chat with the BP head honcho, it would just be a big waste of time because he'd be given the big run around. For someone who's supposed to be a genius, it's pretty amazing how easily he can be hoodwinked (by his own admnission). Boy America sure did dodge a bullet with that Palin idiot hey !

In an interview with POLITICO, the president said: “I think it’s fair to say, if six months ago, before this spill had happened, I had gone up to Congress and I had said we need to crack down a lot harder on oil companies and we need to spend more money on technology to respond in case of a catastrophic spill, there are folks up there, who will not be named, who would have said this is classic, big-government overregulation and wasteful spending.”
